Chapter 160: A Demon’s Amusement

Without waiting another second, Lumy’s eyes widened with panic.

"Felix!!"

She immediately broke into a sprint, running straight toward the direction of the scream, ignoring the danger around her.

"Lumy! Don’t be reckless!" Andrey shouted, but she didn’t slow down.

"Damn it!" Andrey cursed and chased after her immediately, running through the dark forest as fast as he could.

They burst into a small clearing moments later.

In the center of the clearing stood a man with neat black hair and sharp, attractive features. He was currently bound by several dark, shadowy chains that wrapped around his body, holding him suspended in the air. His face was pale and filled with pain.

Lumy stopped abruptly, her breathing ragged.

"Felix...!"

Felix lifted his head weakly when he heard her voice. "Lumy...? Run... it’s a trap—"

Before he could finish, a sultry, mocking laugh echoed through the clearing.

From the shadows behind Felix, a figure slowly emerged.

She was a strikingly beautiful demon woman with smooth crimson-red skin, long flowing white hair that reached her waist, and glowing red eyes. Two elegant, curved black horns spiraled outward from the sides of her head. Her body was mature and incredibly seductive large, full breasts barely contained by a revealing dark outfit, a slim waist, and wide, alluring hips. Her presence alone radiated power and dangerous sensuality.

The System window appeared in front of Andrey instantly.

System: Emergency! Demon-class entity detected. Rank: A. Threat level: Medium. Recommend immediate evacuation. This enemy exceeds current party capabilities.

Andrey’s expression turned cold as he stepped protectively in front of Lumy, Ki energy flaring around his body.

The demon woman smiled elegantly, tilting her head as she looked at them with amusement in her crimson eyes.

"My, my~ What do we have here?" she purred, her voice smooth and seductive. "A little rescue party? How touching."

She glanced at Lumy, then at Andrey, her smile widening.

"Especially you... the Manager of the Magical Girl Squad. I’ve been wanting to meet you."

Andrey stared at the beautiful yet dangerous demon woman and spoke calmly.

"I didn’t expect to meet one of the higher-ranking demons here."

Morgana smiled elegantly, her crimson eyes glinting with amusement as she tilted her head.

"Fufu~ To be honest, I was only chasing after a little rat who was digging too deep into information he shouldn’t have. I wanted to silence him quietly... but then the two of you came here by yourselves. What a wonderful coincidence."

Lumy stepped forward, her voice shaking with anger and worry.

"Felix has nothing to do with this! Let him go right now!"

Morgana chuckled softly, covering her mouth with her long fingers.

"Oh dear, how naive. But that’s exactly why this is more entertaining~"

Felix, still bound tightly by dark shadows, struggled and shouted hoarsely:

"Lumy! Run! This demon... she’s not someone you can fight! Get out of here while you still can!"

Morgana’s smile instantly turned cold. She flicked her finger lazily, and a sharp shadow whip lashed out, striking Felix violently across the chest.

"Silence, you insignificant insect."

"Felix!!" Lumy screamed in horror.

Her eyes burned with rage. She raised her elegant blue staff, deep blue mana surging violently around her as she prepared to attack.

Morgana’s expression shifted into a delighted, predatory smile.

"Oh? You want to fight me? How bold and foolish. I like that."

She spread her arms gracefully, her voluptuous body glowing with dark, seductive energy. Shadows writhed around her like living snakes.

"My name is Morgana, High Demon of the Crimson Legion. It’s a pleasure to meet you."

The air in the clearing grew thick with oppressive dark mana. The ground beneath them darkened as shadows began spreading like a living sea.

Andrey gripped his Ki Blade tighter and stepped protectively in front of Lumy, his expression cold and focused.

Andrey and Lumy didn’t hesitate. They launched their attack immediately.

Andrey used Phantom Step to close the distance in an instant, swinging his glowing Ki Blade toward Morgana’s neck. At the same time, Lumy raised her staff and unleashed her water control.

"Aqua Dominion!"

Streams of pressurized water shot forward like chains, aiming to bind Morgana’s movements.

Morgana simply smiled, not even moving from her spot. Shadows surged around her body and formed a sleek, dark armor made of writhing black energy. The water chains struck the armor but were instantly repelled, dissolving harmlessly.

"Oh? How cute," Morgana purred. "But that won’t work on me."

She flicked her hand, and multiple shadow blades shot toward Andrey. He managed to dodge most of them, but one grazed his side deeply. His Damage Absorb immediately activated, storing the damage.

Andrey didn’t stop. He continued his assault, slashing at her with rapid Ki strikes while Lumy kept trying to restrain her with water.

However, the difference in rank was clear.

Morgana moved with graceful ease, effortlessly dodging or blocking their attacks. Every time Lumy tried to use crowd control, the shadow armor around Morgana would thicken and neutralize the effect.

"You two are quite persistent," Morgana laughed softly. "But you’re still too weak."

She raised her hand, and a wave of sharp shadow spikes erupted from the ground. Andrey pushed Lumy out of the way and took the full brunt of the attack. Several spikes pierced his body. Blood flowed from his wounds as Damage Absorb rapidly filled up.

"Guh—!" Andrey grunted in pain but stayed on his feet.

Lumy’s face turned pale. "Andrey!"

She tried to use her water control again to restrain Morgana, but the demon simply laughed and strengthened her shadow armor. The water had almost no effect.

Morgana tilted her head, looking at them with amusement.

"Is this really all you can do? How disappointing."

Andrey’s breathing was getting heavier. His body was accumulating more and more damage, but he refused to fall. He gripped his Ki Blade tighter and prepared for another attack.

The gap between them and an A-rank demon was painfully obvious.

Morgana stood gracefully amidst the chaos, barely scratched, while Andrey and Lumy were both breathing heavily, covered in wounds.

A pink System window appeared only in Andrey’s vision.

System: Host, be realistic. You have almost no chance of defeating her right now. Lumy is still a newly contracted Magical Girl, and you are already exhausted. Continuing like this will only lead to both of you dying.

Andrey gritted his teeth while blocking another shadow attack.

’Then give me an item to summon the others.’

System: That won’t be necessary. If you can touch the demon directly with your hand even for a second, I can immediately activate a sealing technique on her.

Andrey’s eyes widened slightly as he dodged another attack.

’What do you mean? I’ve never heard of this before.’

System: l’ll explain everything later. For now, just know that we need this demon alive. She seems to possess a lot of valuable information about many things.

Andrey was silent for a moment while slashing away a shadow blade.

’...Fine. But you have to promise you’ll explain everything after this.’

System: Of course~ I always keep my word with you, Host.

Andrey took a deep breath and shouted toward Lumy without taking his eyes off Morgana.

"Lumy! Buy me an opening! I have a plan!"

Lumy, despite her exhaustion and injuries, nodded firmly. She raised her staff and poured all her remaining mana into her strongest crowd control.

"Aqua Dominion – Grand Tide!"

A massive surge of water exploded outward, creating powerful currents that momentarily slowed down Morgana’s movements and restricted her shadow attacks.

Morgana laughed elegantly. "Oh? You still have some fight left in you? How adorable."

Andrey’s eyes sharpened. He gripped his Ki Blade tightly and prepared to charge in.

This was their only chance.
